Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Manager of Wide Format Digital Graphics will lead the company’s production team and assets for wide format graphics, printing, and production.  The Wide Format Digital Graphics Manager will uphold the values of Dot It. Primary Scope of job includes developing the company’s in-house wide format digital graphics and print expertise and technology with emphasis on ensuring production has a well-trained, fully staffed operation with an emphasis on quality, urgency, and on time production to meet customer's needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, motivate, mentor, and evaluate the performance of the Graphics Team while working with HR to establish and maintain a trusting, inclusive, and productive environment.
  • Appropriately managing, engaging, and resolving conflict on the team
  • Manage appropriate staffing levels and direct work assignments
  • Manage production schedules
  • Maintain safe work environment and ensure a safety focused work culture
  • Provide primary support for Graphics Department customer order entry and job creation into ERP and related job management systems
  • Quote Graphics Department jobs
  • Support Graphics Department art creation and proofing processes using Pre-Press Team
  • Manage existing graphics department technology and assets
  • Coordinate or recommend procedures for equipment maintenance and equipment processes
  • Improve Production Processes to reduce errors and reduce time and ensure quality
  • Develop budgets or approve expenditures for supplies, materials, or human resources, ensuring that materials, labor, or equipment are used efficiently to meet production targets.
  • Initiate or coordinate inventory or cost control programs.
  • Research and suggest equipment and technologies to advance graphics capabilities
  • Champion improvement and investment projects with appropriate Return on Investment (ROI) data to company leadership
  • Build and maintain relationships with other team leaders, department heads, external partners, and vendors to make decisions regarding operational activity and strategic goals.
  • Identify, manage, and track operational metrics, and scorecards to maximize productivity
  • Establish and Maintain a Quality Control Process making improvements as needed
  • Support Root Cause Investigation (RCI/RCA) and Corrective Action Preventive Action (CAPA) activities.
  • Support Continuous Improvement (CI) activities and cycle and grow the CI culture and mindset.
  • Develop and standardize work processes and operational procedures where possible
  • Support and participate in Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) methodology and support/lead Team L10 meetings as appropriate

Requirements:

  • 5 years’ experience
  • Strong Background in Graphics or Print Required
  • Strong Operations Background Required
  • Strong Customer Service or Sales Background Requested: Must be able to communication print capabilities to customers
  • Exceptional leadership skills
  • Ability to promote a positive work atmosphere

  • Outstanding relationship-building skills
  • High degree of responsiveness and integrity
