Title: Production Control Manager (Production Scheduling and Cost Control Manager)

Position Summary:
The Production Control Manager is responsible for managing all functions of the production control process and team. This includes ensuring timely delivery of finished goods, efficient processing of production jobs from creation to costing, and oversight of factors involved in cost-effective manufacturing. This role will own and continuously improve the Production Control Process to drive efficiency and cost control.
The Production Control (PC) team is responsible for production scheduling, raw material inventory management, finished goods inventory management, production job creation, MRP system oversight, manufacturing cost control, job costing, label manufacturing tooling management, and related data analysis and reporting. The team focuses on supporting the operations group to deliver efficient, timely, and cost-effective products while continuously looking to drive improvement in the process through data collection and analysis. The team is composed of 3-6 direct reports.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Leadership, management, and accountability for the Production Control team and team deliverables
- Exemplify the organizational values, policies, and standards.
- Build and maintain relationships with other Operations team managers, team members, and key stakeholders in other business functions such as Customer Service, IT, etc.
- Drive employee training, development, and continuous improvement.
- Increase awareness and accountability for EH&S program and processes.
- Manage, resolve, and escalate coaching, discipline, and personnel problems.
- Accountable for timecards and attendance for direct reports within the payroll system (ProLiant).
- Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures and Job Safety Practices
- Create, document, and continually improve/refine operational procedures, policies, and standards to document team expectations and best practices while ensuring team competence.
- Prioritize, coordinate, and communicate the efficient execution of production schedules to meet customer needs and inventory targets.
- Urgently communicate and escalate any issues or deficiencies that could adversely impact manufacturing, shipping, customers, or other segments of the business.
- Monitor and coordinate raw materials and consumables in collaboration with Purchasing through appropriate procurement processes.
- Maintain a clean and organized area and process for efficient and effective execution of jobs including job tickets, job jackets, master sample cards, and plate/dies/tooling management.
- Manage, Monitor, and support entry of daily production data into the MRP software program Label Traxx (transitioning to EPS-Radius)
- Ensure manufacturing costs are accurately attributed to jobs and reported to accounting.
- Manage a system for tracking and communicating production jobs in Label Traxx/EPS-Radius and related orders in Epicor.
- Manage a system for tracking raw material and labor (time allocation) usage and waste for production jobs.
- Lead the Production Control team satisfactorily closing each month accounting for the manufacturing costs and counts.
- Ensure consistent and appropriate Business Hourly Rates (BHR) are calculated for accurate accounting of manufacturing costs.
- Research, update, monitor, analyze, and report on identified and assigned production metrics.
- Maintain a working knowledge of the manufacturing job costs with the intent to improve the costs.
- Lead and support continuous improvement activities to optimize all areas impacted by production control.
- Support and participate in Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) methodology.
- Lead and participate in meetings as appropriate.
- Support annual audits - AIB, NSF, Sysco, inventory/financial, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.

Success Attributes
- Relevant 4-year college degree or 10 years of relevant experience
- Understanding and knowledge of printing and label manufacturing
- Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize numerous tasks in sequence and parallel with competing and conflicting variables
- Strong mathematical skills
- Ability to review, format, and analyze data
- Experience and knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office Programs including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
- Proficient typing and data entry skills
- Capable of developing a working knowledge of MRP/ERP software (Label Traxx, EPS-Radius, Epicor)
- Demonstrate leadership skills - inspire others and lead them through influence
- Ability to effectively perform roles using decision-making skills
- Proactive, organized, accurate, and with an eye for detail
- Outstanding problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage conflict resolution in a professional manner
- Working knowledge of Automated Manufacturing Process Control is desirable
