Use by labels indicate the date and time at which food products must be used by in commercial kitchens. Use by food labels come in four different material types, including dissolvable use by labels, removable use by labels, and cold temp or permanent labels. Each label has a place for the use by date to be written so employees can clearly see when a food product should be used by. Use by labels are an essential component of food rotation programs and important for improving food safety and eliminating food waste.
