Position Summary:

This individual ensures that the graphics or other designs are properly prepared and that the technical specifications/requirements, brand identity guidelines and all legal requirements are finalized, approved and ready for production. This individual is responsible for implementing the approved creative for all domestic and international packaging, POS, and key branded items. This individual is responsible for internal video and photography needs as requested. Perform other tasks as assigned. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, but is not limited to:

• Analyze files provided by clients or in-house design teams and assess suitability for printing, checking, and double-checking critical aspects of images and text
• Communicate clearly and openly to distinguish clients design needs and vision is met
• Organizes layouts, proofs, and assures accuracy and color correction for digital printing and, packaging, POS, and misc. design according to the final creative specifications.
• Manage proof reviews for print and packaging assets including communicating with external creative teams and vendors/printers for image selects, creative feedback, layout revisions, color accuracy, and brand identity ensuring partners have the formats and files needed for final delivery and checks quality and accuracy of work prior to releasing the production file.
• Codify brand identity, standards, and practices. Specifically detail all brand and style guidelines, guardrails, and mandatories. Ex: typeface, size, color treatments, packaging templates, logo size, etc.
• Works with marketing team, external marketing agency, sales, and operations; and attends project-based status meetings to exchange added value knowledge with the team.
• Confirms the integrity of the design and manage project quality based on final creative direction as approved.
• Reviews progress and maintains schedules for various stages of jobs to ensure timely deliveries.
• Assumes responsibility for new work orders and projects received.
• Distributes printed samples in a timely manner.
• Check print materials to make sure formatting, text, and color are correct before printing begins.
• Partner with Creative team to execute final creative direction
• Develop and manage transparent library of assets
• Keep up to date on latest trends and innovations on packaging, production, and printing.
• Perform light maintenance of equipment, including software updates and replacement of consumable supplies as needed

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent. Some college preferred.
• Two or more years’ experience in a high-volume copy or print shop.
• Label and Print industry experience a plus.
• Digital printing workflow and related technologies, Microsoft Office, and Desktop publishing and computer skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy skills.
• Strong Verbal and written communications skills.
• Strong PC aptitude.

Must have:

Knowledge working with Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and similar software (such as, Adobe creative Suite 2022 and InDesign)
